I'd be interested to hear how people get on with the new Bolt on Bits "RDX" range of side flasher repeaters for Defenders and various other Land Rovers. They use 10 LEDs compared with 3 on some alternatives?, come with smoked or clear lenses like or the same as the originals, maybe amber coming later? and appear to be cheaper. The bulb-holder connection looks better than the push-in connection I've seen on alternatives? Any views appreciated.
Their range is listed on eBay here. Thanks Trevor Wright '08 90 TDCi/TD4 XS SW |

If it's E-marked it has the same maximum light output as other ones, no matter how many LEDs
The connection needs to be waterproof and lockable, that's all. WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |

I bought a pair of smoked at Peterborough, they are RDX, they are E-marked, have 10 led's and seem much brighter than the standard orange 501 bulb ones that I had. They are simple plug and play and were only £30 at the show. The back seems well sealed to the elements and they click fit into the black surround which then simply clips into the hole in the wing. I really like them. A casual glance and you would think they were OEM from looks. They asked at the stand what vehicle I had as it seems there are variations. I would guess you get the standard light fitting and a different back depending how yours fit into the wing. Mine is a TDCI and they fitted a treat with the exact same footprint

Looks good, I've got the other type and had no problem either.
I have RDX aux lighting too, just got these the first gen from Brendan. Comparing the two wouldn't be easy unless you've got two Landies both flashing at the same time near one another. I did enquire about this a long time ago myself to BoB mentioning that a lot of owners on here would like these. At the time none were avaible at all and Brendan got some produced first so had those and they have been good too! BoB have obviously been playing catch up but they did say back then it was in the pipeline at some point bug date in-confirmed. |
