How can a picture of a garage reveal someone's location? I guess you could drive around the location on someone's profile (if they have decided to be specific enough) and try and match the image to what you can see. But really?

Surely the MUCH bigger risk is actually posting a picture of your car with its registration number visible. Which funnily enough countless people on this forum regullay do. Indeed there is even a thread encouraging you to reveal your registration!!!! One phone call to a dodgy copper or DVLA employee will tell you the name and address of the registered keeper and bingo!


Ok, forgive me for being a bit thick, but when you say 'bingo' exactly what is it that has been gleaned? A name and address, anyone driving past my house can see the 110 parked on the drive with its number plate fully resplendent. When I'm driving it anyone can follow me home or can even make a note of my number plate when on the road. So I don't see 'bingo' I'm afraid.

So you are a thief. You have either a)decided to steal well specified Defenders b)steal to order.

Do you a)drive around looking for one b)go to a forum, find a nice long list of said Defenders and use the supplied registration number to get their location.

Sounds like bingo to me?
