Dash cameras
Evening all,

Im fed up with idiots trying their luck at juctions, thinking they've got the acceleration of Usain Bolt, and nearly causing accidents.

As a result, can anyone recommend a good on board dash camera, as I would like some recourse if its a fail to stop, which sadly happened to me yesterday.....

Cheers

Andy

Roadhawk, I have had one for years and recently upgraded to the HD version. Have supplied video to several insurance companies to help with other peoples claims.

Very easy to fit and forget. Thumbs Up

Hello,

Handy things to have, not just for the legal angle but to record things you've seen that you'd like to save. Saw a Ferrari F50 the other day, filmed on the dashcam. Very Happy

We talked about this a while back, have a squiz at this: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic34937.html

Regards
Andy.

I'm looking for one at some point, maybe this December ( Shan't say the word. Whistle Rolling with laughter )

I'd be looking at the Blackvue myself as have a lot of others.
I'd want a front & rear.

With the WiFi then if you have an iPad / iPhone can you use them on a ram mount as a reversing camera?

Yes. It can be difficult to connect sometimes but I have my rear in top corner of windows and angle is good. Reduces the blind spots well

Ah now that is good to know, extra features that are useful. Mr. Green

Darcy - Have you reported to the police? I'm guessing you like most of us probably wouldn't have got the index / registration.

Yeah, spent ages in the local police station today - didnt get a chance to get his VRM as he was off like a rocket. No damage to me, he left his trim all over the road though. Police arent hopefull as no index, no cctv, they have nothing to go on, hence my need for a new toy Whistle
