Australian Defender
Hi Guys

After 22 years of owning a MY93 110 200Tdi we decided to update to a MY15 90.

The Defender Before

The Defender After

The folded seat covers I had made in Vinyl (got the idea from this forum).

Due to Dog (notice dog barrier I had made using seat belt material)

The premium seat back stowage.
The strap that you can see is my customisation. The seat stowage comes with a 500 mm strap which is too short so I had it cut and a new 900mm strap put on. Now fits as you see. The stretchy rubber straps of the bottom attachment has hooks that hook over the bar that is on the base of the seat bottom.

The real reason I need a Defender is the creek crossing that I must cross every time I leave or arrive at my property.

It is pretty dry at the moment but when in flood it is over the Defender as it is located in this shot.

I have crossed this creek in the 200 Tdi, when the bonnet, as you enter the creek, goes under the water then comes up and you can put your hand out the window and touch the water.

Still, get the bow wave happening and all's good.

Low range second, diff lock engaged and go for it and don't stop.

Bit of a drag at night when the headlights go under at first, you know leap of faith stuff.

Still the 200Tdi never failed.

The 90 has yet to be called into action, I reckon low range 3, diff lock engaged and traction control off and go for it.

Nice defender but jeez that front bumper... Shouldn't that be on the front of a Mack? It's a bit like a cartoon thumb..

Hi need4speed

I wanted an alloy bull bar and to get the strength it needs to be thick.

The roads I drive on I regularly hit wallabies so need the protection.

I also figure it will push the water for a good bow wave.

Does have the Mack truck look, your right.

Hi Shaggydog

No I don't have the 200 tdi anymore.

A few days after getting the 90 I sold the 110.

It went to a first year apprentice mechanic.

He loves Land Rovers and plans to keep it.

It went to a good home.

Hi Carman

Too Deep to drive across.

The provisions I carried across, took a few trips, hairy stuff.
