Hi, I asked this question in amungst another thread but I think it got lost..........

Is the factory fit tweeter on the 90 (June 2014 vehicle) a standard 1" fitment? I.e. can it be swapped without too much grief?

Also is there a FF crossover hiding under the dash or is it just wired direct with the front speakers?

The crossover is in the standard tweeters, and they are 1".

Just a word of caution in that with the Puma the way that the dash is moulded with a slight rise it makes the fitting of Alpine 1" tweeters less than absolutely perfect. Yes they will fit the hole (with a bit of fettling) but the grille edge will overlap the raised contours. You might have the same problem with pods.

I've seen suggestions that the Focal tweeters are a better fit but I've never seen any pictures in the flesh to prove that.

Personally I decided to re-use the existing factory fit tweeter grilles. See my thread here:

That picture also shows the raised area of dash clearly too which I reference in my post.

By the way upgrading the factory fit tweeters has a HUGE impact on sound quality. Thumbs Up

Indeed, but it'd be the last item I'd choose to upgrade of the lot in order of importance.
They can all wildly differ in price too.
