Hi Guys,
I'm wanting to replace a pair of front and rear door locks for a Td5 110 but I'm not sure if they are the long version or short version. It is a 2000 Td5 if that helps. Ideally I want to be able to change the door locks for the modern tdci ones which take the same key as the Ignition barrel, but its not the end of the world if I can't Also want to get a new Tdci style key cut to fit so is main dealer only place which can do key blanks? Thanks as always Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

I thought all of the long locks were the ones which took the ignition keys. If so later td5 ones have these too.
Just buy a set of ebay, have seen a few sets recently with ignition barrel and three lock barrels with a pair of LR keys ready cut. You might need to change the plastic door handles if you dont already have long locl barrels. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

True but I don't want to change the ignition lock as it has just been protected by an x-eng shroud
Will have a look and a think, for now I will probably just change the door locks as they are very stiff and I don't want to risk snapping off the key in the door. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Spray some graphite powder in and work them gently till they turn smoothly. It'll be much cheaper and much less work. Ray
