I rang my previous insurer admiral to declare my latest rounds of modifications and they would not insure so cancelled the policy there and then! I then tried a few others but wouldn't insure or were such a faff I gave up, decided to try a forum sponsor A Plan and what a refreshing change!
They had me insured within the hour at more than 50% cheaper with All mods! He even stayed half a hour after office closed on Saturday so he could finalise so I'm mightily impressed! one very happy customer [/quote] 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) 2015 Discovery 4.5 Black pack Firenze red XS 2008 Corris Grey 110 XS USW (sold) 2011 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) |

I'm glad you've had better experiences than me!
They seem incapable of emailing me on any of the three email addresses I've given them, don't reply if I email them and have generally been a complete pain to communicate with. Friendly enough on the phone, but getting anything concrete is like getting blood out of a stone. |

I'm starting to have the same experience as Cupboard!
I agreed and ok'd the details over the phone but when paperwork arrived it had a endorsement for a thatcham immobilizer and not all my modifications where listed. I phoned them and they agreed to remove the endorsement & send a new schedule out and s list of declared modification. So far I've just had a sms with an email address asking for me to sign and return bits they need!! No revised schedule, documented modifications & so far I can't find in any of the documents any Greenlane cover mentioned either! I emailed the address they sent and as yet no reply! 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver |

Greenlane cover? Why do you need cover for driving down a road?

That was my thought but when I asked a few insurers they would cover me! I explained it was a legal road etc but no! They thought it was off read as there wasn't any Tarmac!
I didn't fancy the argument with the insurer if I needed to claim! They always win! 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver |

The quote I got from A plan was twice as much as the next one so I went somewhere else. And no mods, no bad record, etc, simple case. Shame as I would have liked to use a site sponsor.
