Your alloys look like disco one's which won't clear the landy hub, without a bit of machining or die grinding but they can be made to fit. its quite dangerous like they were as they don't sit on the hubs flat and can come loose Evil or Very Mad

Chocks, don't need them do I....
Had an eventful day, started by moving stuff for my brother to his new house. Decided to swap the rear drivers side tyre over as the garage had put the spare on after replacing the rear cross member.
I blame the following incident on laziness, I couldn't be bothered to get the chock out from the battery compartment and thought that as it was on flat ground it should be fine. Sadly it wasn't. I got the car jacked up and the tyre off when the car rolled forwards and fell off the jack.
Luckily the not as flimsy as it looks cover for the disc brake stopped the axel before the disc hit the ground. Sadly in the process I managed to slightly bend the jack and the mounting point in the brand new rear cross member. After a visit to halfords and the purchase of a 3 ton trolley jack and some 4 ton axel stands we got the landie lifted up and the tyre on.
After all that we went to the fireworks champions at eastnor castle and I made full use of the landies off-road grip and side angle to bypass most of the ques on the way out, following a very nice white 130.

All in all a fun day, and I now know that I should always use chocks when jacking the car up.

Bit a couple of bits this weekend. Fitted a pair of covers to the Windscreen brackets. They were looking pretty tatty and due to the supports for the roof rack bolting through them I really didn't fancy buying new ones and drilling a hole through them so managed to purchase a set of Black plastic covers for £15 of Ebay.

Have been trying to decide what to do about a recovery point/ somewhere to attach a rope to pull things with for a while and now that the rear cross member has been replaced I decided that the tow ball/hitch off of the Dixon Bate that came with the landie would work quite well. I didn't fancy refitting the whole assembly as it weighs a hell of a lot and due to my license I cant tow trailers so don't need it to be lower, just a strong rope/strap attachment point.

Venomator - I have indeed managed to get the rear door replaced back in June 2014. It looks a lot better, still leaks around the handle and where the spare wheel carrier is fitted, but is a lot better than the old one. I really didn't like the old door card, so didn't get it fitted. The plan was to make one from some plywood, but that hasn't happened and i am in no hurry to do anything with it as I quite like the practical look of being able to see everything.

are your rims (tubeless type or do you need in tubs ) Question lettering stamp in to the rims, only i fond out when i had tyre changed Exclamation

update
So its been about two and a half years since my last update.
Im still really enjoying the landie and while some people question why I have it,rather than a "Normal" car, I enjoy driving it and it is just so useful. I dont worry when there is talk of snow on the weather or when I am asked to move a set of ladders from A to B.
Towards the end of last year I ended up driving down to High Wycombe every couple of weekends, which is about a 200 mile round trip on the motorway. This sadly was the straw that broke the camels back, or to be more accurate finished off the bearing on fifth gear.
But now with a reconditioned gearbox, new clutch, dual mass flywheel and thrust bearing the landie is happy and a lot quieter. The need to drive to High Wycombe has also gone and the landie is back to only going on the motorway once or twice a year.

The plan going forward is:
Get and fit a new headlining, as I removed the old one over a year ago when I started insulating the roof.
Replace the seats, as the current ones are quite tired
Buy and fit LED lights all round, however I am still trying to decide between the clear lenses or coloured lenses
