upgrading std landrover door locks
Today ive fitted new locks in all my doors, but since I've learned that one of the weak points of std landrover door locks is down to the brass pin that is used to locate the lock in the door.

Has anyone tried drilling the brass pin out and then drilling and taping both it and the door handle to accept either a small bolt or grub screw? I had to drill a pin out of the old lock to get it out the door so I know that the pin can be drilled.

My thinking is this would be much harder to break and could potentially buy extra time till the scum bags smashed a window or similar

Proper deadlocks are the only real answer I guess...

No point doing anything to the locks unless you change the hinge bolts to a more secure type

Cheers. I didn't think about just taking the doors off! Rolling with laughter

Although I'm gonna put split pins through the inside of the bonnet bolts so it can't be unscrewed.
