I grew up in south east London and then moved out to Kent, I earn't well got a bigger mortgage new cars, self employed for 25 years. The company that I was sub contracted to [Whitbreads] relocated to Sheffield and all my contacts took redundancy, I found out then it's not what you know but who!
We had 15 years of a big mortgage left but could buy cash out of the equity up here, so not a lot of spending money but no mortgage and wouldn't change a thing, first time in 30 years my blood pressures been right Last edited by 1963bus on 5th Sep 2015 8:16am. Edited 2 times in total |

Have you checked out the October issue of Land Rover Monthly? There is a 90 TD5 for sale in the classifieds - 2004 hard top but with side windows and only 41,000 miles - £8,500. I thinks it's down south so may be too far for you but possibly worth checking out

Thanks Gabe
Just been offered a 90 county 2000 for £7500, I'm actually begging the seller for some more pic's [you have to beg nowadays ] as it's in Manchester and I'm near Alford. Costs a fortune when relying on public transport and takes forever I'll still have a look at the ad you mentioned Brian |

I know it's old but I love it
Belonged to a kennels who had it from new and always got it serviced at the garage down the road, the mechanic at the garage kept saying "if ever you want to sell it let me know" two years ago they sold it to him. He and his wife loved it so much they have just bought a new one Fortunately they didn't need two so the 90 was sold to me It's a 2002 totally original except for the silver paint on the grill, 53000 genuine miles as I have all the service history as the garage just printed it all out off the pc, all MOT's to back up mileage [they did all of those as well]. It has always been wax oiled, everything works, door bottoms no corrosion inside or out! a very few little paint blisters/scabs. It feels fantastic to drive, everything still nice and tight, engines spotless, I love it!
