A cold start to the day today... relatively speaking that is:
Click image to enlarge That's ice on the bonnet, not water drops. There was plenty on the roof too, which I didn't think about until I pulled up at the first junction and a fair few chunks crashed onto the bonnet! And I have to say the heated windscreen worked a treat. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Following on from getting a Union Jack / Land Rover oval tyre cover, I decided to make another change to the rear. I've removed the plastic green and gold oval and the tatty Defender decal and replaced them with a 3-D Defender badge to match the bonnet lettering:
Click image to enlarge Before anyone points out that I've put it in the wrong place, I've done that to line up with the number plate lettering on the other side... Click image to enlarge Now that I've finished, I am wondering if I should have chosen black lettering?? But then I would have had to change the bonnet badge too... :? Hi Andy,
Looking good! Can I ask where you got both the tyre cover and rear lettering? Of the tyre cover, they're as rare as RHS, and of the lettering they look really nice quality and there are so many on eBay I do not know which to choose. Hope all's well in NZ, gearing up for the RWC.... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Excellent you said you wanted one when I got mine. Now you've just got the stress of having to drill the front wings!!! Ray

Too true Ray - not looking forward to that bit! It might be a case of measure twice, have a cup of tea, measure twice again, get someone else to check, have another cup of tea...!! |

They do look good when on though. I've just been on holiday to France and people couldn't stop looking at the front of mine and a few people said they wanted my car Ray

True Ray, they do look good. And I can certainly see why people wanted your car - it looks fab!
Quick question - when you did drill the wings did you put a block or anything behind or just go carefully? Actually fitting might be a bit of a project as ideally I'd like to re-spray the headlight surrounds and grill too (I'm thinking gloss black). And then of course I'd also like to run in wiring for some spots or a light bar... Only don't tell the wife that bit as I've promised this is the last Defender-spending for a while |
