Finished removing the tatty Defender decal on the rear panel, and fitted a 3-D badge in its place.

You're not wrong Pete! I spent about half an hour trying various positions for the badge (original, top of number plate, top of rego letters, middle of letters... ) before I got it "right". And then there was the spirit level and the tape measure!

So funny! Been there last week too fitting my 'metal' badge!

I used double sided tape to look at it from different angles etc... to line up with the middle of the numberplate meant the rivet hole would have to go through 2 aluminium panels! Do I go up, down, left, right... Rolling with laughter

Dropped it 2cm and all was good... best place was just a bit dropped which is exactly why the 'Heritage' badge is where it is! Thumbs Up YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Replaced nearside rocker cover as original one had a thread issue for the oil filler extension. Also it came undone when removing filler cap which was annoying. So I did all this in video below, apart from removing coolant pipes and fan.

Only to find the battery was down to 6 volts so was unable to start. Its now on trickle charge for a retry tomorrow !
