| Great free Caravan type route planners to plan your journey | |
Here are a few links to help navigate while towing a cravan or long trailer, missing roads that are unsuitable while towing.
Over the last few years I have had some pretty hair raising experiences going down narrow country lanes and driving up and down steep road inclines while towing my caravan, Not any more I found these two websites, one is for HGV’s and it plans routes very similar to the overpriced Caravan and Motorhome Sat Nav’s that TomTom and Garmin sell.
The HGV route planer one you have to register first but its free, after that enter the details of length, weight, height of your combined Defender and Caravan as if you were a HGV it will then plan a route that bypasses narrow country lanes and steep hills.
The other link is for road elevations anywhere in the world, just zoom on the map and point and click on the road and it will give you its elevation.
