Bonnet is the same as the rest of the car. Its six layers of clearcoat dip on top of the original paint which is santorini black. In order to make it gloss you have to spray a "glossifier" layer over the top which is essentially the plastidip equivalent of a lacquer, otherwise the standard dips are all a satin type finish, hence the finish on mine.

The guys my brother ordered from will colour match and mix a colour for you for £50 so would be easy to get what you want if you can't get a standard colour to match (I plan on taking them up on that for my roof!)

The first and foremost reason I did it was to protect the paint, but after the good experience I might start playing around with it a bit more.

Hijack away, all good info. I suppose the only issue between mine and yours will be my white 'base' colour. Will give PlastiDip a buzz and see what they say.
