I have done a search on here, and have asked this before, but sofar never saw a picture of the Nolden with sidelights, with just the sidelights turned on that is.
Also cannot find such pictures anywhere on the www, or on Nakatanenga's or other resellers websites. I would be interested to see how those sidelights look. So if someone could post some pictures, would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric You never actually own a Defender. As per Daniele, they do exist with built in side light, so suitable for the SVX type front, same as the Speakers, which you can buy with or without sidelight. As said, never have seen pictures of how the Nolden with sidelight look like, and would like to know. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Ah I didn't realise there was an option for side lights too. I guess I don't have them then Thanks for enlightening me.

^^ Jomara, thanks picture, but that is a strange effect from the camera, if it is the camera that is at fault. If that picture is with only the Nolden position light switched on, it indeed seems much too bright. Also in this picture you can not make out the real shape of the position light beam as the picture is not detailing that, basically shows a shapeless very bright light spot covering most of the Nolden lens surface. Seems too much for just a position light, so guess a camera effect due to the light beam being directed directly into the camera lens.
If someone could post some better pictures, maybe taken a bit from an angle so that the position light beam is not directed straight into the camera lens? I am looking for pictures which shows clearly how a Nolden with integrated position light, but in the off position, from the front looks different than a standard version, so a bit of a close up picture, and then with position light switched on, a picture from a bit of an angle showing the shape and size of the position light beam. Question answered. Someone with an SVX type grill and Nolden headlamps with integrated sidelight function showed up in person yesterday. Reality is quite different than in jomara's picture.
The Nolden with only sidelights on faintly light up the entire bottom half of the light, but also has about in the middle left and right side of the lense a short vertical little led stripe lighting up brightly. The interesting thing is that these two vertical leds are extremely directional, standing 5 meters in front of the car, and moving just a little to the left or the right means you wont see these two bright lighted leds in the Nolden anymore at all, they just seem to disappear, and only the general faintly lighted bottom half of the light remains visible, a bit of a blue-ish glow. Nothing wrong with this, but a bit surprising. Compare that with the single short horizontal led stripe at the top of the EVO (not EVO2) with position light function on, that is a more defined and a bit warmer white position light and remains very distinctly shaped visible as such from whichever angle you are in front of the truck. Eric PS - we could do a live side by side test of the Nolden, EVO and EVO2 yesterday evening. Just a Truck-Lite was missing, although one lives just down the road from me.
