shaggy, its definitely blowing air out of the intake! i can feel it coming out the little rubber drain on air box. if i pull the breather that goes into air intake pipe, i can feel air coming out that part of air intake pipe aswell . there's no blow by! if i take filler cap off rocker it sits there no bother there is no pressure there, also no pressure from any of the crank breathers.
im gonna have to take it to another indie i think, the last one didn't remove timing case to check timing, just flywheel and pump check, he said it was running too good for cam timing to be a tooth out! My 109 thread my youtube channel |

So your saying it is pulsing air out of the intake before the turbo or after the turbo?
The only parts of the engine which are in contact with that are the turbo intake or the engine breather. How about take all the engine breather pipework off and see which one is chuffing? Could be a broken or slack piston ring which is pressurising the sump? Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

So its coming from the turbo?
Its the only other thing thats connected to the engine I find it hard to believe its coming back through the turbo Do you have an EGR? Could gasses be coming from the EGR and then back into the intake? Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

update: changed front pipe to a flexi style one today to see if booming was being caused by resonating pipe.
