Mobil 3000X
Anyone use this oil as Halfrauds are doing 5L for £23? It is listed as Puma compatible. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I bought some of this and returned it - I think the halfords recommendation guide is wrong. The oil is not ACEA C1 spec

2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Montalcino Red
Never been able to find anything ACEA C1 in Halfords, and the listing in their in-store flip-card thingy is wrong. Crying or Very sad

I can recommend Opie (site sponsor) - excellent selection of C1 spec, and excellent service. it more than £23/5L though.

[Edited: sorry, jumping to conclusions - you only need C1 for a 2.2 - that may be fime for a 2.4!] That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not ... oh! That is a dent!

2014 90 XS SW
1997 Discovery 300TdiS (retired to stud)
1966 Series IIA 88" (now my son's)
2001 Astra - I need something to go and buy the parts when the others are off the road!

If you have a 2.4 that Mobil 3000 is most likely fine

If it's the 2.4 I would be tempted to put any good quality 5w-30 oil in it and change it regularly (no doubt others will disagree!) you can get 20l of chevron 5w-30 at cost-co for about 40 quid

I've done the chevron 5w-30 a disservice, it is a5/b5 so fine for the 2.4 engine and only 2 or 3 quid a litre if you have cost-co membership
