Just been into my local Halfords and wow , helpful and efficient staff, not pushy or disinterested, appeared to know their stuff ( bought a dashcam) and pleasant and respectful,
I had already done a bit of research and just wanted to see the items in the flesh, wasn't intending to buy today and especially from them going on previous experiences but today was happy to. Never been called sir or gentleman so much in a shopping spree! Well apart from when I bought my defender ! |

Went today with the naïve expectation I would be able to buy a sump plug washer, to be told after finding someone who new what one was that they don't sell them anymore, nor replacement sump plugs or breather caps.
So not really a car spares shop anymore, just like maplin is a tat shop rather than electronics shop now. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

TBH Halfords has never really been a particularly serious spares place, if it's greasy bits you are after you are far better off going to a trade motor factors. Steve.
