Mate, that's great: they obviously seem to think your adventure sets the benchmark! You are now the yardstick with which Land Rover adventures are measured Thumbs Up

By the way: what size box section was used in the roofrack, is it homemade? Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000

Nice one, is it worth seeing which other member trucks have featured?

Mine and my old mans were in about 10 years ago:

I'm thinking it's a bit cheap of them not to acknowledge you with a credit at least & some form of recompense/prize for using the photo wouldn't have been out of order.

Firstly to the OP: Great Defender and great accolade!

Supacat: this is one of my major bugbears with all these types of competition. Almost all of them mean you hand over all rights to the image on entry. Thus they can use it all they like and never credit you or pay you a penny in royalty. Thus they get a cheap calender with no picture royalties and also grow their image library for free.

I'm not saying magazines/companies are dishonest about it but they could be a bit more upfront and fair. As you say a simple credit would cost them nothing but earn plenty of respect.

I bought the roof rack second hand and did not build it myself. The only issue I have with the roof rack is that it is sooooo heavy. Would like an aluminium one in the future 👍

I'd ask them for compensation cuz now if you ever try and sell it it will be down valued as it looks like it is sponsored by Britpart! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter seriously though well done Thumbs Up
