Enter your 'Gallery' then copy the link in the top box at the bottom.
Then paste into a post.
Seatboxes, IIRC they are a case of drilling out the rivets and replacing then re-riveting. Obviously using Ali rivets to match. YRM do seatboxes I believe unless they are SS, not quite sure what they do. I'm assuming you'd want them painted too, or not fussed? There'd may be sone on eBay instead, or possibly a reputable breaker on eBay. If your really really lucky even some in matching paint. 
I'd certainly avoid private sellers though, you never know if your unknowingly buying stolen goods.  |

Chris, you are far far from even needing to think about seat box replacement.
If, in many years time, it becomes more than just offensive to your eye then YRM sell a replacement side panel for the seat box, which is not difficult to replace and replacement will keep you entertained for an afternoon. I don't know Steve, a rummage on their website should reveal all. I wouldn't be all that keen on ss as it makes more electrolytic corrosion than mild steel when in contact with ally.

Other than holding the seats up, there is no real (I know seats are important) structural traumas. I've seen lots and lots worse. My old 90 I'm restoring (see v8 90 auto build thread) the seat box had a big alloy repair panel on it. I've luckily found a new old stock seatbox.
Answering the question, there are the 8 bolts holding the pair of seats in, remove cubby box if fitted, then you have to remove the floor panels, gearbox cover ( remove gear stick gators ) unbolt the handbrake and disconnect the handbrake cable. Sounds a lot, though very very easy, the only difficulty you may encounter is rusted/seized bolts. |
