BAS2 Remap - smoother than a fresh jar of skippy!
Hi All

Just wanted to drop a brief note about Pete's BAS2 remap on my Defender 90 2.2 TDCI.

Upgrade completed this morning! Thumbs Up

Now I'll be honest my Defender project has all been a bit "bling" biased up until now but heck if you're driving a standard Puma you seriously need to divert some of your funds towards this little piece of magic. I've only driven it around locally this afternoon but my god the difference is incredible! Its not the power increase that you notice first its the smoothness through the gears. I actually found myself trying to make it kangaroo in first and second and couldn't get it to do it! Trust me I was bloody competent at it before!! Big Cry

I would also mention that I managed to completely misread the instructions on the website and nearly cacked myself when my upgrade didn't follow the video's on the website to the letter. A few brief email exchanges and one call to Pete and he put me straight (Well actually he told me to man up and just carry on in the way that only a Northener can to a wet behind the ears Westcountry boy Wink ).

Until now the full Dynamat install was my top upgrade but this beats it.

I guess though it is a shame you can't see the difference......

........now where did I see that post about stainless exhausts! Whistle Whistle Whistle

TTFN

Barney

Barney, I remember when you were chatting about buying a Defender on 'the other forum' and I was goading you with photos of mine... it seems like you've jumped in with both feet and are like a duck to water when it comes to modding your 90! Mr. Green

Glad you're happy with your re-map. Thumbs Up

Which map have you got Barney ?

I am running the 150 Autobiography smooth map on my 2.2 and it is brilliant.

I have the 170 as well but have not bothered to load it as the 150 makes the 2.2 so drivable (and the 2.2 is up for sale !)

Yep, the 150 Autobiography. Can't see I'd need anything more.

No specific discounts as far as I'm aware but Pete is currently offering a free ECU which is worth several hundred quid and means you can simply swap out the ECU to return it to factory spec.

I'm a complete nightmare! Mr. Green Whatever hobby/passion I have I have to max it to 110%.
I so wish I could live with mediocre and boredom, it must be a lovely place.
