Selling my Maggiolina Airtop Carbon RTT.
Size: small Purchased: May 2013 Location: Bourne End, near Marlow Bucks SL8 http://www.autohome-official.com/en/produc...-roof-tent The Airtop has 3 doors (1 each side and 1 on the rear) and 2 semi-circular windows(1 front and 1 rear), all with mosquito-netting, as well as sound proof and anti-condensation roof insulation as standard. This Airtop is my second Maggiolina RTT - and has the advantage of having a self-raising mechanism with 4 gas struts, a rear door which allows access using a rear car mounted ladder (so you can leave the maggiolina ladder behind if you like). Also the lack of internal scissor mechanism at both ends means there's loads more internal room for taller folk and no oily fabric. Features: Balck carbon coloured shell Carbon coloured fabric 3 doors (1 each side and 1 on the rear of the tent). All have mosquito netting and covers against wind or rain. Height adjustable alloy ladder, ladder storage bag, Internal elastics straps to help folding of the fabric when closing the tent. Internal stowage net - for pillows, sleeping back etc. Keeps stuff out of the way when you're dressing or packing down. 4 removable internal mesh pockets. These are useful for storing keys, torches, valuables, clothes. 1 mattress (foam rubber - density: 25 kg/m³, indeformable and with removable cotton zip cover) 2 pillows, Built-in Osram overhead light with 3 Leds, tiltable. Uses 3x1.5V batteries. Bright! Dimensions/capacities Overall: 130cm x 210 cm Closed h: 33 cm Open h: 94 cm Weight: 54 Kg - so keeps the roof loading safe and legal with a rack or bars. Includes 4 universal clamps for fixing to roof racks or roof bars and 4x bolts to fix to roof rack/mambo bars. Current list price is £2300+ - so I think it offers good value at £1500. I've taken the big depreciation hit, so even if you use it for a couple of years, do your safari or overland trip and then sell, you'll still be good to ask £1200 all day long!
