Red Dot I've been looking too for the same! I've not come across anything the right shape or style to match the shafts as well as the standard ones! The SVX aluminium ones are absolutely gorgeous but at £450 each I cannot justify that sort of expenditure even though I'm like a magpie and love my bling! Please post up anything decent you may come across as I may be interested! I'm surprised Croytec haven't come up with the goods yet! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I've been also looking at this - I think Mal's posts got me hooked on Defender bling
![]() Anyway it was pointed out to me the knobs are attached to the shroud over the gear shaft and this entire unit is mounted in to the base. The plastic knob is fused or some how moulded to the rest of it. There's a Germany company selling a replacement unit - IMO it looks crap - for 295 Euro ![]() So I suspect this is why no one is making them as after market. If the SVX one's are £450 then I think I might be sticking with the plastic one's for a long time. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi ![]() LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

I would just like a similar shaped leather set like the ones available for the TD5. I had a set of aluminium on my TD5 and your hands freeze to them until the useless heater warmed the cab up... 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Me too Mal. I also appreciate the way they are fitted as I am in the process of refitting my Tdi's gear knobs yet again
![]() I will have to see if I can get an Australian price on the SVX gear knobs. If they are that much in the UK I would expect them to be about A$1000 (£600) or more here. Should be worth a laugh ![]() Does the XS have leather knobs to go with the leather steering wheel? We only get one spec 110 down here. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi ![]() LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

Derek,
Mine is an XS and it has the plastic jobbies not leather! If they did a leather option I think I may have gone for them due to pricing! ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Just cut off the existing knob and you'll find a steel shaft inside. Any aftermarket knob should fit (but not the screw on type).

Spot on.... the TD5 XS leather gear knobs ar embossed with only five forward gears and the Puma has six. I do not understand why an XS comes with the same level of plastic as a farmers workhorse.... Maybe i am asking for too much for the £12,000 price difference? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
