205 tyres

Can you put 205 tyres on 7" rims cheers

AFAIK you can, the Range Rover Classic and 90 used to be fitted with the 205 R16 tyres (typically Michelin XM+S pattern) and if I recall, the RRC had alloys that were 7J.

Maybe someone else will comment - depends if the standard steel rims are 7J or not I think.

Sawtooth only had the tyres about a year .don't really want to buy a new set

Yes, 7J is the maximum rim width that a 205 (80) R16 tyre can go on. Minimum is 5J. Assumed default rim for that size is 5.5J.
