The advantages of buying a proper NATO hitch are type approval so it takes away insurance headaches in the event of a drama and gives you the ability to tow a fixed eye trailer, not all 'Sankey' type trailers have a rotating eye. Sandy

Fathaggis, I am sure you know this already, but remember you can only tow a trailer with a rotating lunette with a non-rotating pintle, so although you could tow an early Sankey with that you cannot tow a more recent one.

As far as I know only the genuine Bradley/DB pintles rotate. Worth holding out for a good s/h one in my opinion.
