Welcome mate ...in my honest opinion having lived with them for a while ...if I had a newer vehicle I wouldn't fit them ,they work for me and gives me an extra layer to protect my truck. The insides need treating to stop any rust...i

^^^ I imagine that even those won't stop the bad guys popping a window and opening the door (if they lock whenever the door is shut, they must be openable from the inside).

Not on their own, but no single device will. As in all security aspects, a layered approach is best. All you can do is make breaking into yours such a pain in the arse, that they'll take someone else's instead. If they do target your specific vehicle, they will get it eventually no matter what you do.

I wish someone made good, easy to fit, deadlocks for a Defender, somewhat like those fitted as standard on the Disco 2.

I've long thought about deadlocks. Can't be hard to source the actual locks from something but how would they be locked and unlocked? Could the alarm be used to lock them and unlock them but NOT allow the key in the door or interior button to unlock them?

C 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs)

2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ...
1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold
2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone....
