Hola Defender Land,
Some mates and I will be embarking on a road-trip to the infamous 'Dutch Mountain', Alpe d'Huez, the penultimate stage of this year's Tour de France (which in five days, has already been a classic). I am think that for practicalities sake, we might buy the small, metal 5L beer kegs and rent a pump which would be plugged into the cigarette socket and rested on the bonnet wing. Anyone tried this? With a Voltage converter, will this be possible and provide enough 'oomph' to keep the beer cold and the pump pumping? Advice, as always, much appreciated.... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Grenadier, you do have a tow hook on your Defender, yes?
You never actually own a Defender. Absolutely I do. Any my friend works for France Boissons. I could steal her and the delivery van. The guys are normally chilling in Elevation having a 'ballon' or gallopin at 0900h so won't notice... Monsieur Le Grenadier

I would definitely unhook that green trailer asap and be drinking orange juice instead. Horrible beer! 😄

^^^^^ I let you imagine the word, but below is a descriptive picture of how my country of origin which knows something about beer, and which is just south of your country, generally thinks of that particular beer.

EricVV and tookaphotoof,
In my country, this is what we mean when we say 'beer'..... Heavenly photo..... But given it's not available here, I tend towards Affligem, Grimbergen, Goudale etc... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Le Grenadier, that glass in the picture.......... ICE TEA?
And then not even sparkling ice tea. What a country that must be. Without going into specifics of brand names, here is a first lesson of how a good "cool one" should look like in the glass. Now, it is going to be 30°C plus here today, so difficult choices to make for tonight... a good "cool one", or a "piscine de rosé"? Eric You never actually own a Defender. With the heat wave we are current living our popular choices are in order of importance: 1. Aperol Spritz 2. Pimm's N°1 with Canada Dry, fresh cucumber and some berries (yes, popular during Wimbledon and all summer long in Knokke Le Zoute) 3. Piscine de rosé (very simple, a large balloon whine glass filled with ice cubes and a light rosé wine. You never actually own a Defender.
