put a piece of tape along to stop water getting to foam strip

I was wondering exactly the same thing. They seem to just be a dirt and water trap.
I've got some stainless door cill plates on order from Brendan at 4x4 Overlander. I was considering cleaning it out and then running a neat bead of automtive grade mastic in there? Good/bad idea? |
