Had some time today for my Defender, so I have installed a DRL's.
I got a pair of this lights, model 510HP, price ca. 40 GBP: http://nssc.eu/drl-lights.php 
Then I put front indicator lights to upper position where parking lights were. Made lower hole bigger with 74mm hole saw; it is good to screw in a piece of wood at the back of the original hole to have something what holds the pilot drill bit. Then some wiring job and it is done. Now I am waiting for Trucklites

Very neat! LED indicators would make it look even better, and you can always upgrade the headlights to Crystal versions plus better bulbs while you save up for the Trucklights...

First try - round DRL's, working also as side lights:
Click image to enlarge was working fine but I did not like how they look.... Second try - inspired by @AndyTunn ordered Hella's surface mount; Trucklites also added and Wipac's LED indicators and side lights. Now I am satisfied

That looks great @TomekW! I was originally going to mount mine on the headlight surround too but chickened out and put them on the bumper. Now I've seen your truck I wish I'd persevered!
If I ever replace my bumper that's where they're going for sure! |
