Hammerite?
Hi was wondering if it would be worth removing the seats etc and painting the floor and bulk head with hammerite paint after I sealed any joints that need it?
Any advice would be welcome I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog

I did the same and removed the floor and seats etc. Avoid hammerite would be my advise, there are better paints.

I'll happily second that, Hammerite makes terrible paint.

Use a good Automotive paint, there are many available on ebay as proper Land Rover paint even in the right colour and will be 1000% better than hammerite. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

I've used POR15 for things like that, sticks like sh#t to a blanket and actually does all the stuff hammerite claims to do but fails.

It's not cheap but very effective, just don't get it on your hands, you'll be stuck with it for weeks.

Avoid using Hammerite, it takes a long time to harden, then becomes brittle over time and not good to deal with should you need to refinish in the future. As others have said there are much better paints available for your particular application. Steve.
