Hi folks,
Just wondering if anybody has any experience with using a raptor dash along with one these pumpkin radios? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pumpkin-Touchscree...reo+screen Seems like it would be a good fit? I'm buying a raptor dash tomorrow anyway, but thinking the single din adjustable screen could be a very good solution to a pants std radio (TD5 BY THE WAY). I tried the search function, but nothing. Make sure you get the Android version, The Windows CE 6.0 Operating System is about as obsolete as you can get.

No, sorry. I had never heard of it so I was curious and had a look at your link. i was pretty surprised that one option was to run Win CE 6.0, Win CE was superseded about 4 years ago and I'm not even sure that 6.0 was the latest then.

Hi folks,
Half way through my dash install, thought I would post some pictures of progress so far. Note, I have not bought the pumpkin radio yet, thought I would do that next month instead. My late 2000 model year TD5 110 SW had the larger wiring conduit, so had a bit of trimming to do. I know I'm quite lethargic when it comes to this stuff I tend to take about 3x longer to do the job as I end up spending a lot of time drinking tea 😀 I also managed to remove old redundant winch wiring that somebody had installed (poorly) I'm much happier when I know that wires are not just cut off and left hanging behind the dash - seriously, aparantly that's acceptable! Just have to buy a couple of wiring connectors and some more cable and I can extend the hazard light and heated windscreen switches from my knee to the new dash. I might also have to modify the gear stick and turn it a few splines as its close to the dash, not touching but will see if needed when I pop to the shops today. Cheers Andy |

Dash mostly complete, just need to add a few switches, hazards, fog, heated window.
I had to move the RWW switch as I kept knocking it on each time I changed gear. Some photos as promised. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
