Any experience of DAB
My 300tdi 90 has been on the road for 18 months now, since the rebuild and I am still ICEless, this is because I'm uncertain about DAB.......I could fit a cheap non Dab Radio Cd player and probably be happy, although I only ever use the radio......

Does anyone have any experience of (budget) DAB, is there a better aeriel type to go for, its all a bit of a mystery to me......

Cheers all

Paul

Useless your in a good dab signal area i think its a waste of time at the moment

Even if you got a good signal , i cant see ( or hear ) a reason to bother with it

I fitted a cheap Pioneer DAB and splitter to my 90 and it is one of the best mods I have done Thumbs Up

We are in a marginal coverage area but the DAB reception is excellent. Driving routes where FM was constantly dropping out seems to not be an issue for DAB.

Have a read of this thread and you will see what I have fitted.

I bought a cheap Philips DAB from Halfords and it came with a magnetic aerial which I tucked away under the headlining in my D2. Less than £100 and worked well for about three years when I sold the vehicle.

We have had dab sets for a while .if you can get it at home then it's great and much more user specific music choice.eg absolute 80s if you register then you get less adverts.

In a car it's very patchy coverage with regular dropouts m66 is crap m62 ok a1 is ok in most areas m6 th south good less heading for Scotland .

Sound wise on good speakers and Amps its defo better than fm
