Its the bonnet catch, a few customers bonnets have opened onto the safety catch so there has been a re-work of the components. The new blokes in QC say nothing leaves the factory unless its 100% See here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic4242.html?highlight= 130's have feeling's as well you know |

Arrived at dealers on Wednesday, pick it up tomorrow. Thankfully the weather has been kind and the old MGB is not too waterlogged having been used for far longer than intended. |

Got it, pleased but it's an XS with a black grill and brunel headlamp surounds, and it looks .... quite ... um ... odd.
Are all 2011 MY XSs now coming with a black grill or have they given me something a little "special"? [/img] |

Just maybe the grill needed to be taken out to adjust the bonnet catch and now there's County spec running round with a Brunell Grey Grill.

The current QC is no better now than it was when i picked up my TD5 a few years ago. (They'd forgotten to paint the offside B-pillar and it was going rusty by the time it arrived at the dealer!)
My new 90 is shocking. the chassis is covered in weld spatter, I wouldn't mind if the panel gaps were consistent, I can see daylight through the passenger door and the roof leaks. Other than that it's fine! "If it ain't sideways, you just ain't tryin'! |

That's one of the reasons I went for an Ex-Demo showroom vehicle. The dealer makes sure it is, in my experience anyway " as it should be " so potential customers don't ask awkward questions.
Worked so far and has eliminated these sort of problems. |
