Sorry if this has been covered before - couldn't find anything on search.
Does the RAM tough claw attach to the drivers side shelf? Looking to use it for iPhone mounting but like the idea of the claw as could also move the passenger side for longer trips and attach an iPad instead. http://www.rammount.com/products/toughclaw Also, for the RAM x-grip holder, does anyone know if the small tablet one (7") would also hold an iPhone 6? Based on the min width dimensions it should in theory but wondering if it might not due to the length of the iPhone 6 and the geometry of the x-grip. Reason for asking is would ideally prefer to just buy one x-grip rather than two! http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-HOL-UN8BU |

I have the smaller claw and it holds my new tough book nice and steady, ok not using an xgrip but a tablet mount
Ram mount UK are very easy to deal with, and because of the lack of show rooms, I buy a selection and send back what I don't want |

With the iOS products I find StudioProper cases and mounts good value. iPhone 6 mounts really hold phone in position in both Defender and on mtn bike.

How do you fix yours in the car - with the window fix or the m wall plate thing? I was thinking the m wall plate could fix to the 45 degree angled bit of dash next to the stereo - the bit where the people who put in a double din stereo relocate the switches to?

In the Defender a wall mount on the angled trim, in a second car the windscreen mount. The 3m tape is very strong but can be repositioned a few times. Also the windscreen mount came with a second piece of tap. When touring passenger has iPad mounted to grab handle. iPad mounts can connect to camera mounting clamps and tripods etc. Original reason behind how I found the product in first place.

You use the X Lock case and then there are a number of mounting options depending on situation. I personally use the tripod adaptor and a manfrotto super clamp. As I mentioned before it was photography system that drew me to the company in the first place. The X Lock case stays on all the time.

So received the wall mount and case today but cannot get it to stick to the dashboard facia - just falls off (but sticks fine on windscreen for example). Did you do anything special to get it to stick to defender trim? |

Sorry but I've only just seen this - to fix a Ram mount to the grab rail you need one of these They work fine for the navigator but can be a little difficult for the driver to access without a longer arm.
