Why does your V8 get exported? But I understand your move to buy the Jap 50th. Fantastic car! Very interesting detail with the plate showing the 50th stamp next to the number. m |

Oh no, sorry, it's not yours, but it's exactly the same.
I LOVE that new v8 of yours. Congratulations. |

After 6 weeks away she is finally home after a new engine fitted. While engine was out I took the opportunity to clean things up a bit. New engine fitted with modified top hat liners

Have I missed something?
Why did you have to fit a new engine, and when you did, what capacity & specs did you fit? Pickles. |

Sadly the engine was pressuring up so she had probably slipped a liner or block had become porous. The engine was swapped for same spec but with the modified liners.

Bad luck there then, but you've still got a lovely vehicle, that is for sure, and a relatively unusual one too.

By far, my favourite Defender on this forum.
I'm not too sure about the cassette (or the spots), it was bad enough having a CD player in the 911, it drove me nuts. I'd be putting a modern bluetooth stereo in the cubby, keeping the cassette player where it is. I hope you never sell it, but if so 'bags' ! |

Deserved
I had a look at the site you had this from and there are a couple on there, but not this good. It's good to know they're available. I'll just have to settle with what I'm building, though it's never going to be 'factory'. |

The red one looks nice and tidy with sensible km's but I can't believe current asking price. I think the Japanese have clicked there is a strong market over here. By the time you factor in VAT, duty and shipping then the cost becomes prohibitive.
