Grill mod
Playing with the original grill & light surrounds (having had for a while and since sold, the KBX style grill & surrounds), I came up with what I think is a modern twist on the classic look.
The grill & surrounds were sprayed santorini black (body colour) and with a little help from B&Q (other DIY stores available), some alu mesh was mounted behind the grill.

Gives a nice updated, but subtle look I think.

Got some wider shots of the front?

What did you use to mount the mesh?

I did the same on my previous one when the IC went on.

Kept meaning to do it to this one, but I lost my roll of mesh and never quite remember to get more!

It does work very well though! Bit of extra protection to (Never a bad thing Laughing)!

Love it. Is the mesh just sandwiched in or have you attached it at all?

Which mesh size did you go for as that looks perfect?

It is actually attached, yes - using the fir tree / press-in things that holds the grill on.
Unsure of the gauge / size of mesh - just went with what I thought looked about right. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is protecting the paint of the grille surrounds from the mesh?

Love it!!

I'll take that over a KBX any day. It's functional as well, keeping debris out of the rad / condenser that somehow always seems to get in there.

Brilliant.
