This situation opens a big can of worms. Insurance company cancels/invalidates/voids your insurance what are the effects? If it was a at fault accident you would have to pay the repair bill on your vehicle although they are likely to pay out third party claim. Insurance cancelled then you could be prosecuted for driving without insurance. Get prosecuted for driving without insurance then your future premiums will increase. Even if not prosecuted renew your insurance and what do you answer to the question 'have you ever had insurance declined/cancelled etc?' Would I risk it? NO Brendan |

Not to mention the potential for a zealous traffic cop (is there any other sort? ) to add on charges under Construction & Use Regs, or even: Driving a vehicle in an unsafe condition... Absolutely not worth the risk. |

Are there any other parts needed to install those trucklites into 2003 defender?
Or it is just plug and play? |

After having used the LHD trucklites for the past year in Switzerland, I've just moved to London and now need a pair of RHD ones!

@Tomek:
The swap is pretty easy! The standard rings do fit but are often corroded, we have made stainless rings in polished (EUR 30.-/pair) or black (EUR 40.-/pair) We have a special Y-cable as well, which wires in the positioning light, plug and play. The positioning light is not necessary as the Defender already has one. By law you are allowed to have 2 pairs. We can make a special deal (2 cables + 2 rings polished) for 55.- or with black rings for 65.- WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |
