Hi Guys,
Having a bit of a renationalisation at home (plus I dropped my laptop ) and so this is now up for sale. It was originally destined to go into my 200Tdi so it was being built up slowly ready for conversion day, however I have now decided to go a different route so I am offering it here on the forum before Ebay/bin. It is a complete (to my knowledge) lower dashboard setup for a early defender (upto revised Td5 dash) I will complete the list of what it comes with when I get home and will take more up to date photos of what is included. I have cleaned it up and serviced the inside of the heater box with additional sound proofing and thermal insulation and treated the minor rust as detailed here in my running restoration http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic28138-120.html It comes complete with a brand new Iron Goat center console which is ready to accept a standard din radio and 6 Carling Switches. Please note, the gauges are not included in sale. Collection preferred from ether Staplehurst or Tonbridge though I can arrange for it to be sent by courier at buyers expense. Haha! I'm afraid not currently, I need my own workshop before I can start taking on other peoples projects! That said, I'd be more than happy to go through it with you, most of the difficult work has been done just need some bravery with a screwdriver and a saw to fit
Ohhh thats a bit of a secret currently, mainly due to the fact I haven't quite finished working out what I want where yet. But it looks more like I am going to use the Bolton bits dash top thing for the gauges (hence not for sale) and then use a side moulding for the switches - using old Tdi spec switches rather than more modern switches as I had planned to to keep it looking OE rather than heavily modified. I have a plan, It just keeps changing Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Its not a problem, Just a change.
Having looked around the Dunsfold collection and not seeing a Single 200Tdi I thought it may be better to keep the modifications a little more subtle from now on.... Though from the looks of things.....I may have it a while longer Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |
