Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
Swiss Legend limited edition 2015
Don't think it has been mentioned on here yet, but JLR Switzerland in addition to the known three global limited editions Autobiography, Adventure and Heritage, have earlier this year added a specific Swiss limited edition, called "Legend".
Limited to 100 in total, all 90/110 SW (S) versions, but customers are free to spec them up some, including color, wheels, sunroof, etc. The "Legend" edition comes with dedicated stickering, and especially with a fantastic looking filled leather tool pouch which is mounted by LR to the inside of the rear door panel. Very exclusive and strictly limited to these "Legend" editions to give them that special edge.
Must admit that JLR Switzerland hand in hand with Emil Frey, the importer, often go out of their way to offer some tasty special editions for the Swiss market only, think of the Hunter, the Black Pearl, etc. This "Legend" tool bag is going to be a collectors item, watch this space.

Here some pictures which by now are good for the history books, as these 100 Legend Defenders are all sold, at least you can not place any new orders for these any more with dealers, all are allocated. Some are still available in dealer showrooms, so if you can live with the color on offer, still possible to find a few, mostly in the German speaking part of the country.
The plaque on the outside and the inside mentioning "1948-2015 67YRS FOR EVER" which is gloss plastic and glued on, is now actually put not only on the Legend version anymore, but is stuck onto the outside and inside of every new Defender delivered in Switzerland this year. It is quite a nice tasteful plaque, but not sure of the longevity of the glue, time will tell. Would have been even nicer in metal and riveted I think.

Eric

Nice looking Swiss edition. That leather tool pouch is a nice touch and would have also been an great addition to the heritage edition. I wonder if it can be purchased separately anywhere?

Think no chance at all. This is a limited series developed by JLR Switzerland only for the Swiss market, the main JLR head company have nothing to do with this at all, it is all about cosmetics only, stickers and the bag, so no need for Solihull to do anything for it, other than deliver the trucks. I would think JLR ordered these 100 tool bags somewhere local, and will neither keep a stock to resell, nor will be willing to entertain demand from people who have not bought one of those 100 Swiss Legend trucks. I already asked my dealer here, and they could not find a part number to separately order the tool bag, even if I have another Swiss Defender. Can't really blame them for protecting their limited series customers, no? I will give it another try with them, because I did not really insist too hard when I asked. But have no high hopes to be succesful in the end. I am afraid that we cannot set up a "group buy" for this bag. Laughing

Mal, you know how I feel about things like that, so cannot agree more with you, and think all attempts by others would be futile. Still, will pose the question to my dealer's spare parts department, but I think it will remain a rhetorical question....

Eric I agree and know how you feel. I think your desire will come at a massive premium and perhaps may go partway in your understanding why people like certain extras from certain limited editions which obviously includes the SVX? With the nice touches they have on certain models it does make some that may not like the model they adorn in it's entirety stiil desire a few bits 'n' bobs off it. That's what makes it a limited edition. Strip away these few expensive quite often non-functional extras and underneath they're all the same.
The desire and want can be relentless and take a long time to secure if you keep your eyes peeled.

Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
