A lost children's toy has become an internet sensation as it takes the trip of a lifetime around Europe in a bid to find its owner.
Lost Bunny was discovered in a Land Rover on May 1 at Ridgeway Land Rover's Oxford branch during a routine clean under the seats. Ridgeway group marketing manager Philip Deacon, 44, said: "The ultimate goal is to reunite Lost Bunny with his owners. "We see it that we have Lost Bunny on 'borrowed ownership', so while we are determined to reunite him with the child, we are also really enthusiastic about ensuring the bunny is entertained in the meantime. I remember when this craze/prank first started with students!!! Who would steal a person’s garden gnome and then take it away with them on a travelling gap year, and then send the owner lots of postcards and photos of the gnome (as if from the gnome), traveling the world, then on the students return they would in the dead of night return the gnome to the persons garden. At the time I thought it quite novel and funny, now it has become a little ridiculous.
For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

We did the same thing when I was in BAOR. WHen my Sqn deployed into Bosnia we borrowed a gnome from a SSgt from the rear party. We then took pictures of it at every camp we went to and sent them back to him.
He was well annoyed that his gnome was more travelled than him and we made it a mock medal which he obviously didnt get. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

Morning all
The #lostbunny story from Ridgeway Land Rover in Oxford is very genuine. The toy was found deep under the seat of a courtesy car by a valeter (who know's how long it had been there for) and placed on the side in the valeting bay. Our valeters are provided by an outside company and work across lots of sites. We believe the bunny could have been there for a day, 2 days, a week? We looked at the loan log and enquired with the drivers on the day it was found and alas it wasn't claimed. From there we posted our appeal on Facebook and Twitter that we had found this bunny and that we were appealing to its owner to come forward. In the meantime we've made sure that #lostbunny's temporary stay with us is an interesting one. He's been to Gaydon to see HUE 166, Royal Windsor Horse Show, the Eurovision Song Contest and now he's in Rio extending his owner search! He's off to Le Mans, then to spend the day with Ferrari at Goodwood Festival of Speed, Disneyland - and then hopefully back home with his owner. So far we've reached over 1,000,000 people - but we are only trying to find ONE. The search will go on - but we have every faith that we'll be able to reunited #lostbunny with his rightful owner very soon. Regards Philip Last edited by RidgewayLandRover on 11th Jun 2015 11:22am. That's about 60 times the population of the planet. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
