Managed to get the new head unit & Sub in over the weekend
Started by pulling it all out, I knew this getting the head unit in was going to be a tight squeeze. Click image to enlarge I fitted the Kenwood KSC-SW11 150W sub by mounting it on the back of the cubby box using M4x25 & repair washers. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The Clarion NZ502E head unit was a very tight squeeze but managed to get it in tidy-ish, I still need to ad a few things yet, reversing camera ect so it will be coming back out and sorted. Very happy with the over sound so far & I still have the standard speakers fitted  As I said it will be coming back out soon, I need to install Dynamat, this was a dry fit to see if I was happy with the head unit really, so far I'm very pleased. The Nav, sound quality & usability has all been good

Just about to fit same head unit to my new XS, do you know if standard usb to iPod lead will work for iPod connected to rear of unit for music only, or do you need cca750 clarion lead,? i think the cca750 is for video playback?
Theres a green lead to connect ground to hand brake to play dvd etc, I'm gonna presume if connect to any ground dvd can be played without handbrake on? Nice truck by the way |

Silverfox1970, honestly, I don't know. I haven't had chance to have a play with it yet. I have plugged my iPod into the USB plug in the back of the headunit & it works as it should while playing music. I did try playing movie the other day off the iPod through the USB, only the sound came out, no picture.....need to have a bit more of a play I think. The spawn of AndrewS

Started installing the Dynamat last night, it took a lot longer than I thought it would. Only managed to get the rear tub done, nut already noticing a difference which I was very impressed with!!
It might not look the best, I didn't really know where to start, just got on with it. I've still got a long way to go with this stuff. Fair play to the lads that install it, it was hard work jumping in & out of Defender all evening.
