Help With Anti Roll Bar Kit Install: 85 D90
Hi,

Looking for some help and guidance with this as my mechanic is having hell of time here is the US getting the BritPart Anti Roll Bar Front and Rear Kit (STC8156AAPY) installed on my 85 Defender 90. The vehicle originally did not have the brackets, so had them ordered, but this still remains a puzzle.

Some questions that I need hep with:

Will fitting these require some haevy welding work? My mechanic has asked some local welders and they are reluctant to do this work.

Will I also need 2 x EGP1661L & 2 x EGP1889 for the rear anti roll bar.

Finally can someone who has done this install or familiar with the process please point me to some pictures for this installation. There are only a 2-3 Defender in the entire city where I live so showing pictures to the welder will definitely help get this mini project sorted.

Appreciate the help and guidance as always.

Welding! Are you missing the actual arb brackets on the chassis? I believe early defenders and 90's didn't have them.

An 85 90 will almost certainly require brackets welding to the chassis, unless it has had a replacement chassis at some point.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

i've just done the same to my 1991 defender when I fitted later axles with anti roll bars, I ordered these brackets for the rears from YRM and they are excellent

and these for the front

as for pics, mine just looks like factory now so googling for pictures should do the trick. I would take pics of mine but there is about 10" of rock hard mud caked on there are playing offroad Smile DON'T PANIC

genuine parts brackets are cheaper than the YRM ones... Especially with the discount from Dan at Duckworth.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
