Australia 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Rimini Red
It's about time, my Aussie 110, Busby.
I've been on here for what seems like ages, I keep meaning to post pics, but always seem to get side tracked reading all the great info on this forum.

But today after removing the Boost's and fitting some 2nd hand Wolf rims and Wrangler M/T's, I finally remembered to put up some pics.

I bought Busby 2nd hand, with just over 60,000k's on the clock, early last year. He's a 2010 Puma. Previously I've owned a 300Tdi 130 crew cab, in Oz, and a 1973 Series III Hard top, back in the UK.

The previous owner added the ARB bar, winch, roof rack, Safari snorkel, LoneRanger long range fuel tank, and dual battery.

Since then I've been slowly getting him to a point where I'm happy, I reckon I'm almost there. But I guess there's always something else!

That's a fine looking vehicle Ozy. It's got that understated elegance to it.

Quick question since you've owned a 300tdi, does the handling feel any different with the weight of the Arb bull bar on this one?

I'm assuming the 300 was experienced as stock or without such an addition.

Mmm hard to say Bastion. The 300Tdi was a 130 crewcab, ex Telstra vehicle (telecommunications provider). When I got it with 27,000ks on the clock, it had no bar, but was fitted with HD old man emu suspension.

The bar I put on was a TJM one, no difference in handling suspension wise. She was always pretty well loaded , as I used to cart spare bits and bobs for the forklifts and trucks we used to work on back then. Great motor the 300Tdi!

It's hard to compare the current Puma 110 alongside my old 130. This one still sits on the original Land Rover suspension, and it's doing a fine job. The 110 sits almost square, it's pretty balanced, what with the ARB bar and 12,000lb winch up front, and the 120 litre fuel tank and drawer system ( which is always loaded ready to go) over the rear.

In the long run, I'll probably change the suspension set up. But it handles well enough for now.

Fantastic truck there Thumbs Up

I really do like the ARB style bumper but I really don't need a winch let alone that much steel hanging on the front for every day life.

Great to see one being used, I always think Australian defenders have the most fun in there lives! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Gunna have to steal your Defender's name, for our new 110, dictated by the number plates we were randomly allocated
