Stolen 50th GB008
Just seen this over on the 50th site http://www.defender50th.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2854

Moderator Defender50th - James has just posted :

"Just had a call from a devastated owner Mike who had GB 008 stolen last night along with a couple of motor bikes and tools. Stolen from the New Forest area so everyone please keep an eye out!!!!"

Reg .... S1 DEF

...... keep your eyes peeled, will be hard to dispose whole in the UK, perhaps gone overseas for 'order'??

Being a 50th owner I really feel for the guy, irreplaceable.

Scum Evil or Very Mad Cheers

Thefts are more prolific further north. Whilst the New Forest is a beauty hotspot it can be very rural. Wonder if it may have been specifically targeted and whether it went from a town/village or from a more isolated locat? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

SHOCKING news.
And the irony is, they'll never be able to use it, so it'll probably be broken up.
I hope they catch the arseholes, and that they get a bit of "attention" first.
Feeling for the owner, Pickles.

Another reason to get as many layers of security on your pride and joy!
Sad thing is because they will get more rare as time goes by the problem will inevitably get worse........
Layers people layers!

Gutted for the guy. Like has been said previously it's irreplaceable. Sad

I was once working on my build on the driveway when 2 blokes stopped past. I wouldn't have minded so much but I know pretty much everyone on my street. I also recognise most of the people in my area due to walking my dog etc. These guys were strangers...

They seemed pleasant enough but something in the back of my mind was nagging at me. I played along with the pleasantries but when they enquired what I was up to later that day I was quick to mention that I was taking my 10 stone Akita (who right on cue made his appearance at the side gate) clay pigeon shooting!! I wasn't of course. At least not that day.

Funnily enough they scarpered very soon after lol Laughing

It may not have been the Land Rover they were interested in. If they had originated from one of the 11 or so countries that still feast on dogs they may have found that a 10 stone joint of meat on 4 legs a tempting proposition to return when they get hungry, especially if they live in a commune. Lunch anyone?

Laughing Rather them than me. You don't wanna be near him when he's angry. And chucking him laced steak or chocolate will only make him angrier as he only likes fish and rice. But the scum wouldn't know that. He was already starting to turn a bit Hannibal Lecter because there were 2 strangers next to me and he couldn't get to me Laughing

Yeah and they also know they risk the noisy end of a 12-bore if they come near him or the Landy....
