A few things to consider with that though. I have used mainly ss fixings on my build HOWEVER never use stainless where high tensile is required. Stainless tends to snap instead of bend.

Also, always take extra care to separate stainless from ali. Otherwise the ali will just about turn to white powder before your very eyes. Use rubber washers and use ptfe tape on the shank of bolts/screws where it passes through hole..

Just read through this entire thread and absolutley loving it, seeing the strip down and rebuild is brilliant - Much better than reading it in LRO!

I really wish I had the skills to do as much as this but mine tend to be mostly cosmetic changes with some DIY, but not heavy duty engine stripping, welding etc.

I hope when I get my next one the work I do will be interesting to some of us here.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the progress. Thumbs Up

brilliant detail, loving seeing the progress. it doesn't look like you have a massive garage, so i'm curious, as i've been using that excuse not to do anything even vaguely like this... So where have you put the rest of the landy while you rebuild the chassis etc. or is your garage bigger than the pics suggest!?
