Alive PP4
Well, after all the amazing service I've had from Alive, thought it would be nice to do a little write up of the final step.

Due to my time constraints, travelling to alive for the turbo would of had to wait months so i picked it up from the spring adventure show where my car was featuring on the alive stand anyway.

got home and on monday decided to make a start, never really working on a turbo before, i do have a good knowledge and a hands on practical job where you have to adapt to pretty much everything..

old one came off fairly easy 3 of the stud bolts provided to be a pain, the car is now 5 years old so all them years and that heat.

on went the new turbo, you can't really see much difference from the outside but the shaft/ spindle is lots thinner and more blades all over, went on fairly easy managed to miss place a 13mm socket... guess i need to talk to the snap on man.

went for a drive with my existing pp3 map and could tell it would pull harder lower down but wasn't quite like the alive development car, dropped gary an email saying would it be possible to get the map tweaked before the next day, as usual gary delivered; i was fast asleep when the map turned up after midnight. loaded it on this morning and let her rip.

Power is amazing, the torque range has increased significantly and you can rev higher in a given gear... top speed is also increased by a fairly large margin.

Anybody in the north east / west is more than welcome to have a go in my car to see the magnificence of a properly tuned car.

Good job, impressive performance and sounds great. Thumbs Up

Would you think with Remap, VGT and (I assume?) Intercooler + hoses, you've topped 200bhp? Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Nice, what BHP roughly and torque are you running?
I've only got a stage 1 on mine, not sur I'd ever stop on KM2's with much more. Rolling with laughter

About 180hp and 520 torques for now.
