Read about the below Defender recall in LRO June issue which I just received. Quite recent vehicles, cannot remember to have seen this posted on here.
Recall Ref: R/2015/028 Exact Model: Defender Description: BRAKING IMBALANCE MAY MAKE VEHICLE UNSTABLE VIN: SALLDWBR8FA461900 to SALLDHMP7FA464300 Build Date: October to December 2014 Numbers: 1173 Defect: The fixing bolts for the front and rear hub assemblies are not to specification. The bolts could break and cause loud noise followed by severe vibration wheel lock possibly a bolt could puncture the brake disc or even if all the bolts are damaged the hub may become insecure to the axle. The aforementioned will cause instability and significantly increase the risk of collision. Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace all the front and rear wheel hub fixings. If any damaged has been caused by bolts failing the affected components will be replaced. Launch Date: 04 February 2015 You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
