Nope never heard of one
started to overheat or overheated , there is a big difference to what could be wrong |

Never heard of, but it would not be hard to make it.
Plumb in an adjustable thermostat fan controller, let the controller activate a "break type" relay to cut out the fuel solenoid. Set the adjustable controller to a temperature slightly higher to the max. temperature you think the engine has to cut out. And for safety reasons, add an override switch to the relay. This might take a bit of plumbing.
The puma / dura torque engine is fitted as standard with a thermal cut out switch. It`s on the back of the cylinder head NO 4 cylinder. You could, if you desired some how plumb it into the cooling system, head or block area. Then run in series thru to the fuel pump fuel cut off solenoid. When the engine over heats. The circuit is broken and it cuts out. A bit drastic if you ask me, a warning light or buzzer would be better. To warn of low coolant level. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires. |
