It wasn't a dealer mock-up. It was part of the show at JLR's Castle Bromwich Manufacturing Plant reception.
If that is an autobiography then JLR should employ people who can paint. Considering this vehicle was a display one in a prime position at their own plant then I would hate to know what the clients are going to get. When you see things like this you start to understand why we have so many issues. Such a shame, but then I suppose now they are targeting people with more money than sense. |

I wouldn't take too much notice of the fit and finish of any pre-production cars; they will be unrepresentative of the production-spec examples.

David, you miss-understood. It wasn't pre-production. It is a fully registered car before it is off to the dealer.

They won't be sending a 64 plate pre reg off to the dealer for sale as one of the 80 Autobiography models. 2016 Defender Adventure 110

Not sure about the UK and other markets, but Fuji white was an option for the Autobiography for the Swiss market...

I wish they'd do the Adventure with the side runners. I'll be having to lift the kids in the back all the time! Plus I think it looks better.

Again not sure about the other markets but for the Swiss market the Adventure comes with side runners as option in both, the black and the silver finish.

I wonder if you can fit side runners on the adventure whilst still keeping the sill protectors in place?

I'm trying to figure out the weight of crud you could get lodged in those 'sill protectors' if you actually drove that one off road. Approaching a tonne on each side, I reckon, if the entire void was packed.
A triumph of style over substance! And as for that black and white paint job, words fail me..... |

blackwolf - Once the first owners experience issues like that there will be a recall to fit bungs in the swaged holes...
Although, there must be a marketing opportunity for someone like MSS or Sense of Adventure to modify them into storage lockers like the ones in planes? |

I was at Castle Bromwich and Solihull on Wednesday with work. I have to agree with SMB here, the standards from 'SVO' are appalling. I'm ashamed to say that we're producing and selling such utter rubbish. The Autobiography 90 in those photos in a press vehicle, not one of the UK vehicles, and has non-UK spec options on it An engine to TDi for!
