"The new Landmark has been designed to satisfy the renewed interest and enthusiasm for Defender in its final year" - JLR jumping on its own bandwagon?
"It adds further standard feature content by standardising the most popular options selected on XS models" - so an XS for those too lazy or ignorant to add the options for themselves? Landmark will have MY16 VIN to add provenance to the vehicles built in the final 6 months of Defender production" - so you're not getting a special plaque just some about the VIN. JLR really are polishing the turd with this! |

to be fair LR are sticking to the 3 celebration editions which are in limited numbers the landmark is a choice of nice paints with the semi black pack (not the wheels) and sound upgrade/premium ebony seats and carpet
so we are still getting something a bit more special with the celebration series (i hope!) awaiting a corris grey 90 adventure. |

I don't know whether the black and white one has the "black" pack on or is just a paint option. BUT, the lines between the black and white are an absolute disgrace and to think JLR would accept putting this on their reception forecourt really says it all!! You could have painted a straighter line using a piece of string. Whoever is in charge of their Quality should be shot.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The under sill protection looks the part, but I highly doubt it would offer much protection looking at how it is attached to the chassis and body. Its one hell of a mud trap though Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

SC, sorry there was a bit of a delegation going on so didn't have the time to take more. They are at the Jaguar site in Castle Bromwich where the Spitfire and Lancaster Bomber were made.
The under sill plates seemed pretty well made, but the problem is how they are fixed to the body. I think they are there for aesthetic purposes only although it will save the long grass from damaging the underneath |

OK - thanks.
Really curious about the sill protection so will have to wait until my local dealer gets one in. |

Well at least those photos have confirmed that I'm glad I didn't go for a met white adventure so I will defiantly stick with the phoenix Orange 110! Would like to have seen some interior photos of the adventure as I would like to reassure myself that for the extra £4500 I'm getting leather door cards dash etc! Above the landmark a swell as the other bits

The Black/White one is indeed an Autobiography (can tell my aluminium door handles). Weird though as white wasn't a colour you could order...
But it's registered as: DEFENDER 90 XS SW SWB... 2016 Defender Adventure 110 2015 Defender Autobiography 90 2016 Defender V8 Classic Works 90 2020 Defender 110 P400 X |

I was just concerned that the paint work wasn't spot on for the bucks.
I would expect a very special chap to do the paint work on the special editions. |
